Microsoft has finally entered into world of personal health care with the launch of Health Vault.It promises to be different by enabling patients to enter their health information in a secure format and also has teamed up with impressive members comprising of AHA and Mayo clinic along with several other prominent health care institutions.

It was a matter of time,ever since Google released their screen shots of propsed Personal health record system in August this year.

“The value of what we’re doing will go up rapidly as we get more partners,” said Peter Neupert, the vice president in charge of Microsoft’s health group.

The goal is to make Health Vault the number 1 destination for personal health record management.

But,will general people be willing to input their health data into this system will be a million dollar question which time alone will answer.
